TAW2018 > Route

The TransAtlanticWay Race 2018 started at the National Sports Campus on the north-western outskirts of Dublin. From there, competitors had to navigate their own way to the first checkpoint, which was midway across the Peace Bridge in Derry. A course based on The Wild Atlantic Way then had to be followed around the West coast of Ireland, past checkpoint two near Leenaun, around to the finish at Kinsale. The total distance of the course is over 2,300 km (1,400 miles) with over 25,000 m (84,000 ft) of climbing.
